Standard Food Service Grease Types
KML Corrosion Resistant Mounted Bearing Units are lubricated with Mobil FM222 synthetic lubricant from the factory. Mobilgrease FM222 is an NSF H1 registered grease that is designed to meet the needs of the global food and beverage industry. It is formulated using an aluminum complex highly shear stable thickener system rated for anti-wear (AW) characteristics. Mobilgrease FM222 provides long term corrosion protection for critical food processing equipment. It also offers a high degree of resistance to water washout during frequent, high pressure cleaning operations. The temperature range of Mobilgrease FM222 is -13°F to 338°F (-25°C to 170°C). KML silicon rubber seals will remain reliable to 392°F temperature. KML Corrosion Resistant Mounted Bearing Units normal grease content is about one third to one half of the internal space inside the bearing. The grease used for replenishment should be checked for compatibility before application.
Food Service Lubrication Options
KML Corrosion Resistant Mounted Bearing Units can be supplied with alternate solid lubrication options that eliminate the need for relubrication. (Additional lead time required).
KML Solid Polymer FS350 – KML Solid Polymer FS350 offers 350°F (177°C) temperature rating with increased lubrication performance. This lubricant makes relubrication unnecessary while increasing the performance of the bearing with Extreme Pressure (EP) additives. In addition, lubricity is enhanced with a Friction Reduction additive making this a truly High Performance Food Service Lubrication Option.
