Standard Grease Types
KML Taper Roller Bearings (TRB) are protected with a light oil corrosion inhibitor that is applied before packaging. This corrosion inhibitor is not meant to be utilized as a lubricant for the bearing. Bearings should be installed immediately after removal from the packaging or recoated with a corrosion inhibitor and repackaged after handling.
KML Taper Roller Bearings should be greased immediately upon installation with an NLGI#2 EP (extreme pressure) grease with anti-wear (AW) additives.
Recommended Lubricants:
- Mobilith SHC 220 – Automotive and industrial multi-purpose, heavy duty.
- Mobilux EP 2 – Heavily loaded plain and roller bearings
