KML Bearing USA’s Double Row Angular Contact Ball Bearings are one of the most versatile designs for applications where increased radial load rating, thrust load and compact space are the parameters. That’s because the structure of KML Bearing USA’s Double Row design combines two single row angular contact bearings back-to-back in one united ball bearing. The Back-to-Back mounting has a large distance between the acting load center of the bearing and therefore a large moment capacity. This type of mounting also makes the allowable misalignment angle small.
These 5200 and 5300 series Metric Double Row bearings are produced to ABEC 1 Classification and are available in industrial grade 2RS double sealed ball bearings or ZZ double shielded ball bearings. The industrial grade sealed Double Row Angular Contact Ball Bearings feature dual-lip non-contact seals on both sides. While the industrial grade shielded Doubled Row Angular Contact Ball Bearings feature metal shields on both sides.
Featuring the same construction as KML Bearing USA’s Metric Single Row Deep Groove Radial ball bearings, the inner ring, outer ring and balls are produced using vacuum degassed 52100 bearing steel. They come standard with Nylatron cage snap ball retention for low noise operation. The 5200 series Metric Double Row Angular Contact Ball Bearings are recommended for lighter loads running at higher speeds. While the 5300 series Metric Double Row Angular Contact Ball Bearings are recommended for heavier loads running at slower speeds.
When axial space is limited and higher loads are the requirement, it’s time to call-in KML Bearing USA’s Double Row Angular Contact Ball Bearings…as with most KML products they are factory lubricated with Chevron SRI#2 grease; a high temperature ball and roller bearing grease with rust and oxidation inhibitors, it is recommended in a wide range of automotive, industrial applications and wherever high operating RPM’s are necessary.
