SBR insert bearings are made from 52100 series bearing steel with a rubber cushion on the outside diameter. The OD of the rubber cushion is designed so that the assembly fits into the next size larger pressed steel pillow block housing. The SBR rubber cushion insert has all of the features of the SB insert with the addition of a static conductive rubber cushion. This cushion helps to dampen vibration in critical applications where noise and vibration are transferred through the system. It also dissipates static charge that can be generated through ventilation systems. This style insert is commonly used in air handling applications or areas where vibration must be minimized.
The standard SBR rubber cushion insert is a non-greaseable insert and is considered to be Lubed-for-Life.
